2025 MAAJ Day of Sharing October 23, 2025
The morning begins with a focus on using native Michigan grasses in horticulture. That will be followed by a discussion of efforts toward sustainable floristry at the global, business, and individual levels.
Hear from a local florist about new trends and materials in the floral design industry. That will be followed by a workshop on manipulation of botanicals in floral design, enhanced by demonstration and hands-on activity.
Panels and group discussion will consider how to “avoid making a scene” and other tantalizing topics. Lunch and two breaks are included for the low cost of$35 for the entire day.

Central Region Convention 2025 Perspectively Connected
Wisconsin is having a Flower Show Symposium October 26, 2025-October 28, 2025 which is open to all members of NGC. We are fortunate enough to have our Allied Topic Speaker for the Symposium to speak at our Opening event for the Central Region Convention on October 28, 2025. The convention runs from October 28, 2025, through October 30, 2025. Both events will take place at the Osthoff Resort.

Thru the Garden Gate is published quarterly with content from clubs from around the state of Michiagan on upcoming events as well as news from our Central region and NGC National Garden Clubs.
Landscape Design School Course 4 – September 22 & 23, 2025

Master Gardener credit is approved for all 10 hours of this course
Includes Lunch each day. Each student will need a clipboard and pencils with erasers for the site evaluation. A copy of the Evaluation form will be included with your materials that will be emailed prior to the class.

Gardening With Purpose
In 2024 Michigan Garden Clubs, Inc. contributed over 74,000 pounds to NGC’s Plant America-Feed America project. This represents 67% of the total recorded throughout all of NGC!
The recording of the NGC Webinar Feed America is now available in the Video Cafe on the NGC Website.
This project was awarded the NGC Award of Excellence at the NGC Annual Conference on May 23, 2025.
